My persian shield is 4-5 inch single stem starter plant. It got knocked over and broke. And it's about a half of an inch tall now & roots intact. Will it grow again or is it a lost cause?

It probably won’t use much water while on the mend.  So you’ll have to adjust for that

But it will@branch at the break also.  Just an fyi.  Some people might not like that growth habit 🤷‍♂️

I’d bet with that if you can live with it for awhile it will actually look better 🤷‍♂️ in the long run.  I’ve never had that plant.  But I’d bet it will grow like coleus after a pruning.
