More or less water?
#Haworthia My star cactus is on the struggle bus a little. The tips of his growth are shriveled in. Am I overwatering him or is he shriveled because he's not getting enough? When I water him, his pot never drains any water and is always fairly dry on top.

Is the soil dry all the way to the bottom of the pot? As a general rule, you should water succulents until water runs out the bottom and then not water again until soil thoroughly dry. Leaves should plump up when watered. I would check the soil with a chopstick or wooden skewer by sticking it all the way to bottom of pot. Let it sit a minute or two and pull it out. If there is no soil stuck to it and it feels dry, it’s time to water. I bottom water to make sure mine are thoroughly watered.
