Graptopetalum Petandrum ā€˜Superbum’ Roots and Petals

My Graptopetalum Petandrum’s roots don’t seem to be taking to its new soil, the soil is succulent soil and the plant has been in it for several weeks however it still moves loosely whenever touched. Before getting it on a watering schedule it was being watered too frequently and some of the petals fell off from the bottom. It hasn’t been watered since this started happening but could the overwatering be affecting the roots as well or is it something else?

Succulents grow slowly. I wouldn’t touch it if it’s that loose right now. In a couple of months with good care it should perk up and thrive in its new pot! My succulent was so loose in its pot it kept falling out! I put it on a quieter windowsill and put the roots deeper into the soil, watered, and left it alone. Months later it has a growth spurt! I love the scientific name of your plant 🤣 Happy growing!
@Fireplace thank you! Any recommendations on a watering schedule? I have it as monthly right now but I’ve been leaving it alone because the petals were still dropping, is monthly enough or should it be watered more?
Found this on Google. I have no experience with this particular succulent but I do with this issue. Here’s what I found:
