Rats tail cactus withering?

Hello fellow plant lovers! Semi new plant mom here. I bought this beauty about a month ago and some of the um..leaves? Vines? Not sure what to call them..seem to be withering. I’ve watered once since I picked him up. He sits on a sunny window sill. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

It could be underwateredor overwatered. Usually this happens when you only water on one side rather than from below. Can you share your watering practices with us? @BrainyFivespot BTW, welcome to Greg!
@AnthuriumQueen thank you for responding. I’ve only had her for 3-4 weeks. I watered last week from the top with RO water and gave it a good soak from the top and did not bottom water.
@BrainyFivespot they don’t like top watering. I like filling a bowl with water and setting the pot in the water to allow it to absorb what it needs. I use a timer to allow for 15 minutes only to avoid over saturating. Bottom watering provides even watering rather than just from one side. Try that. I have just clipped a few of my babies back because I also did the same with several due to time restraints. Water is for the roots so make sure you only water from the bottom from here on, ok?
Awesome! Thank you so much for the advice!
