Good morning!
I've learned that it depends all about your own home's environment.
For example... My small apartment has electric heat, which makes for an extremely dry heat, and tiny windows which only face North.
So, I use a large humidifier and all our plants are under gro lights.
The humidity stays on average about 50%.
The gro lights are on for 8 hours in the winter and 12 in the summer.
My Dragon is directly under a gro light, which is about 3 feet above him.
All plants need good lighting, as it is food necessary for their health and growth!
Silver Dragons generally need ample light and humidity.
Prince, my Dragon, must be happy in his conditions because he has bloomed twice this winter. He now has 6 "flowers"!
I let him almost completely dry out between waterings.
Whereas my friend, another Gregger, has her Dragon in a semi- enclosed terrarium because she found that her Silver Dragon needed more humidity.
And, she does have a smallish gro light in there.
I'm hoping that this isn't too much information for you to digest however, from these 2 examples, our plants are both flourishing. One thing they have in common is a good light source.
If your home doesn't have ample sunlight, I would think about putting your plant under a gro light!
Wishing you all success... Silver Dragons are the best!

So...I read that your Alocasia is not a Silver Dragon but I would still recommend a great source of light is necessary.
