I am murdering this poor thing what is wrong??

I can’t get it right with this plant and I feel terrible. At first the leaves turned yellow and fell off so I figured I was over-watering it. So I cut back on the watering and now all the leaves look really wilted and they’ve been drying out and falling off (light green and crispy, as opposed to yellow and mushy like before). It lives on the far side of my shower right next to a window, so it gets lots of indirect light and humidity every morning and most evenings.

Every year, a puzzling question thousands of gardeners ask is: why my jasmine is drying and losing leaves? Jasmine is a tropical plant that can be grown indoors or outside in warm conditions, the plant dropping leaves is usually because of some type of environmental factor. Jasmine leaves dropping off can be caused by too much attention or water, too little attention or water, and even nature itself (if it was recently moved). Not all jasmines need to be treated when their leaves drop, but when they do, it's usually a matter of correcting a poor environment.
Lack of light can be a cause of jasmine plants losing leaves. If you've moved your potted plant from the outer deck indoors for the winter, it's probably getting a lot less light than before. This will cause leaves to shed.
