Different growth rate
#VariegatedStringOfHearts I purchased cuttings of a VSOH in about Nov/Dec. Most rooted fantastically and as they grew a new node I clipped it and tried to root it to fill out my plant (and also to give some to my sisters). I have noticed these two strings are growing so much faster than the others. And they donβt have any of the white. Did they revert? The backs have a pinkish hue to them still. I donβt have a regular SOH, so I wouldnβt know.

Hey there πΏ mine does this too, but only some strings. It's also not a lighting issue, for me, since it's under a full spec grow light. If yours isn't getting enough light, the var will go away. The pink var comes back longer in the string on mine, but some lower leaves have little to none left. I am not sure why, I really don't mess with it much. I actually took some clippings this weekend and grabbed a pic with her hair down. You can see some strings aren't pink, some are. As long as it's getting enough light, I wouldn't worry too much.
@PlantBeach yes, I do only bottom water. I read up on that before I purchased because I reeaaallly wanted it to survive π I accidentally caught the long string on something when I was dusting the shelves a few weeks ago and it pulled the tuber out of the soil. After more investigation, all the roots are forming them. So my plant has definitely been working on its underground aspect first. Mine is under a full spectrum light as well. I will have to see if I can make room in a west facing window.
@PlantBeach I read with this variegated plant they will often lose their color if not in proper lighting. Also, if you let them be in cooler temperatures, the coloration will pop out more.
