Hi Kathleen, I would suggest using the chopstick test. That is taking a chopstick, put it in the soil all the way down to the bottom of the pot. Be careful not to disturb the roots. When you pull the chopstick out if there’s any soil taking to it, the soil is too wet. I hope this helps.
