I need your help again! Which Underworld-Related character/god should I name my strawberry plant?

๐Ÿ˜€ okay. Are we sticking to Greek mythology? Or do we include the Romans (so basically the same) or even other cultures? And does it have to be the underworld, or can it just be generally dark themed?
And underworld.
The berries are dying. Not one is edible.
If it should be underworld and Greek, I would go with the aforementioned Persephone. She was tricked into having to stay in Hades by eating a pomegranate. Maybe not the same as a strawberry, but also red, round, sweet and delicious. Fingers crossed, the plants won't wither afterwards for half the year.
Also they bloom in spring and fruit in late spring and she is kind of the goddess in charge of that season.
@FlashyMangotree Persephone seems fitting ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Of it doesn't have to be the underworld, you could go with Aphrodite, she created strawberries. Not dark enough for you? Well she "created" them when she cried bloody tears over adonis' death, and they... turned into strawberries ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ as bloody tears over dead lovers are wont to do
I mean as a strawberry plant i think Persephone suits well
Hmm they are dying? Hades is the generally the boss of death, but more of humans. But demeter (Persephone's mother) is basically the goddess of withering crop as well as of agriculture. She neglected her duties when her daughter was stolen, so she killed all plants, a cycle that repeats each year.
Depending how they are dying, I could offer up thanatos (basically peaceful death). Not really a god but rather death personified. or his sister Ker. Not so peaceful ๐Ÿ˜€ personified death of battlefields, plague, diseases. Sometimes seen as one entity, or sometimes as keres, a whole slew of them, feasting on the dead
Of none of these fit, I will dig a bit deeper in my brain.
