Hi Sabrina, usually when plant leaves turn yellow it’s a sign of overwatering. You can test the soil by using what gardeners called chopstick test. That is place of chopstick down in the soil and be careful not disturb the roots. When you pull the chopstick out of the soil. If it has soil sticking to the chopstick, it has too much water. Also, make sure it has adequate drainage. I hope this helps. οΏΌ
