White balls in plant soil

Just wondering if anyone knows what these white balls are in the soil of my Calathea Gray Star? It is a new plant and seems healthy hoping this is part of the soil mix and not insect related 😳
Hard to see what size they are, but there are often small balls in soil from nurseyplants with a slow release fertiliser. Could be it..
They kinda look like rocks....
@GreenGoblin thanks I hope that’s what it is
@CurrentLuscious they do but they are soft
It could be a puff ball slime mold.
@Pegster oh ok is that bad?
