That's awesome you got them.
@Pittyplantlover I had one but it didn’t like me.

The Mother of Thousands (Kalanchoe daigremontiana) is a unique succulent plant that produces tiny plantlets along the edges of its leaves. Here are some care tips for your Mother of Thousands:

1. Light: Place your plant in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can scorch the leaves.

2. Temperature: The Mother of Thousands prefers temperatures between 60-75Β°F (15-24Β°C). Protect it from extreme cold or heat.

3. Watering: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Water thoroughly and then let the excess water drain away.

4. Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents. You can also add perlite or sand to improve drainage.

5. Fertilizer: Feed your Mother of Thousands with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength. Apply every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

6. Propagation: The plantlets that grow along the edges of the leaves can be gently removed and planted in a separate pot. They will root and grow into new plants.

7. Pruning: Trim any dead or damaged leaves as needed. You can also trim the plantlets to control its growth and prevent overcrowding.

Remember, the Mother of Thousands is a fast-growing plant, so be prepared to give it some space or prune it regularly. I hope these tips help you care for your plant!
I’m so glad you are taking on her collection to keep them alive. You will be happy you took it on later. The people here will help you to keep her plants and memory alive by helping. Some of us are just beginners some are so very talented and knowledgeable we all know something about one plant or another. Just keep asking and working at it and one day you will turn around and see that they are thriving and you will be happy you did it. Most important remove all dead material so the plant will only have to spend energy to the healthy part of the plant. Then take their pictures as you get them and put them on the site so you can get help to know when they should be watered. Make sure to fertilize them especially now it is growing season. I use a fertilizer called happy happy houseplant you can get at happy happy houseplant.com. It will make your life easier. I make a batch of 1/2 gal. At a time to keep it fresh. You just look to see when you should water that plant and you just give that plant the amount of water you are supposed to each time you water your plant is fertilized. No second guessing. It gives your plants small amounts of fertilizer every time and you use it year round. No second guessing. That’s one thing you don’t have to worry about. My plants love it. Take their pictures because they will grow big and strong and you don’t want to miss it. Good luck and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sorry to hear about your grandma passing away but you get to keep something she loved alive for her. You may even love them as much as she did. You got this!πŸ™ŒπŸ€ͺπŸ’•β€οΈπŸŒ±
