My cactus came with it woven together and a piece of ribbon tied at the top to keep it together. The plant doesn't seem to be growing since I got it. Should I take that tie off or leave it on New small shoot that came up longer than main plant

plants tend to do alright with the tie as long as you continue to adjust it as they grow bigger (so it's not too tight). However, if you want to take off, it will also be healthy, but the design may not stay as it continues to grow bigger.

I agree with Sesame, it will be fine if you leave it as long as you adjust it, but I took mine like yours apart and now it grows free

Hello! I don't think thats a Blue Myrtle cactus instead I think you have a braided snake plant. Here's a picture of my blue Myrtle and a picture of what google says yours is.. Hope this helps! 🪴🦋🌵🐞☀️
