I haven't grown one from a seed and I really don't know much of anything about it sadly. I couldn't even remember the name for the longest time. It was given to me with about 50 other plants from a very sick neighbor that was moving. All of the plants were in various conditions since the past owner hadn't been able to care for them or had any help for quite some time. ๐ฅบ I've just been making my way through all of them, repotting, planting, weeding, etc.
I only just got to this cardboard palm bc the stalk broke. I did learn that the seeds are incredibly poisonous to dogs. They are also very common in Florida, where I live. I'm going to plant it in the ground soon. It's outside now on the east side of the house.
Sorry I don't have more in depth knowledge yet but thank you for being excited about it with me! @AC73LoveCats

@AC73LoveCats the best part of the inherited plant adventure has been updating the past owner with their progress and how happy everything is looking, for the most part. He really seemed to love them all so much. I promised i would love them too. Although, I haven't heard back from him in quite some time. But I keep sending the updates, just in case they're still making him smile.
I found some of these growing out of a bush in my neighborhood I wasn't sure if it was a weed because it had like a cinnamon texture like coating on it but then right next to the bank the following day I saw a big "bush" or plant of them growing they were mostly all green a few with the brownish color and texture but I honestly thought it was a ZZ plant but it seemed a little different so I used this to identify it I see them all over now growing coming out of bushes near some small palms etc. But I've never seen them in store.
