Yellowing/ browning of orchid stems
What should I do?
Best Answer
I would cut the dying stem off from the base so your orchid can redirect its energy into growing new, healthy roots and leaves 🀩 This trim should also encourage the orchid to give a fuller bloom in the next season 🌼
Cut off the yellow brown part back to the live green stem. it's nothing to worry about the flower spike is just spent
orchid fun fact! once a stem flowers its fulfilled its main purpose and will then die, thats why multiple shoots is optimal. more shoots, more flowers! yes that stem died. but you did nothing wrong! just the natural orchid way
