Can you be more specific? Did you take it out of the soil and saw that it didn't have any roots? That's most often the result of overwatering, or more specifically the soil staying damp too long, which can lead to root rot.
Not sure what you mean by no roots. Fairy Washboards tend to have smaller root systems - is that what you mean? Or did something happen where the roots have been cut off or rotted? Mine is very young and has an incredibly small root system.
