Roses can get yellow leaves on occasion. As long as they’re not all turning yellow things are probably okay. Looks like he’s outside so check for pests. Look on the underside of the leaves for small caterpillars πŸ› or teeny all green caterpillars. They will eat the leaves. Look for webbing that’s not typical spider webs. Spiders are beneficial but spider mites aren’t. Spider mites can’t be seen very well without a magnifying glass πŸ” or strong reading glasses πŸ€“. Is the rose getting enough water? Usually they’re quite thirsty and when in ground difficult to overwater. But too little or too much water can turn leaves yellow. When was the last time you fertilized them? Also it could be an iron deficiency or the pH level is too high for roses.
