@SmoothCat92 Hi Kristine ๐ Welcome to the app! I would get a terracotta pot for it 1 or 2 inches larger than the pot it's currently in and get a bag of Succulent Soil or cactus soil at any garden center. I'd also get a bag of perlite and mix 2 part Succulent Soil to 1 part perlite. Perlite helps pull extra water out of the soil and helps keep the cactus from sitting in water. The fake bud on top you can twist off. It won't hurt it at all. The soil I use is the cactus soil I find in stores. Others may say something different. But mine are all in tiny pots. None of them are ready for a bigger pot Cactus have small root structures. Someone may say different but that's what I have seen. They like being root bound
