Quickly turning yellow

I haven’t changed anything, I’m assuming it maybe root bound. Will be taking a closer loon in the morning but does anyone have any other ideas? #PothosPack #help

Check the roots first
When leaves start turning yellow near the base of the plant, it's often times due to overwatering/soil moisture. I'd pull it out and check the roots for any rot. Pothos usually don't mind being a little root bound β€” are roots coming out of the drainage holes?
@stephonicle @SpiffyGonolobus what’s the thought for this
@Mwrabb well it definitely looks ready to move up a pot size πŸ˜› Since it was in a 6" pot, don't go any bigger than an 8" pot. You'll need to cut through that root ball before repotting, otherwise the roots will continue growing in a circle like that and it'll quickly become root bound again (also the roots are so tight you'll have a hard time knocking the old soil loose). Cut through any that are circling around the inside of the pot, then cut an "X" in the bottom of the root ball using a sterilized knife or pruners (make the cut a few inches deep). I've marked in the photo where to cut.

Regarding the possibility of root rot....there's no way to tell from the pic if the darker roots are due to rot or if they're just covered in soil,
so you'll have to feel/smell them to be sure. Rotten roots are pretty unmistakable from healthy ones β€” they're mushy and will fall apart just touching them, and typically smell bad as well. Healthy roots are white and firm. If you don't find any signs of rot, the yellowing leaves were most likely due to a lack of nutrients and oxygen from being root bound.
