Hello! I was wondering why these leaves are white? I saw ...

#Kalanchoe
1ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
@WiseCapricorn that looks like a normal variegated pattern to me! I think if you want the pink color to come out more I would suggest more light! They like the classic bright, indirect sun. An east or even west window would be perfect. She also look a little droopy so I would reevaluate how well the soil is draining and consider how you are watering.
Ditto to what @Amateurbotany said. 😘
I just repotted it yesterday and it does look very droopy all of a sudden, looks like a whole different plant. I put it in an unglazed clay pot with succulent soil hoping it would like these changes better but I’m so nervous that I made a mistake because now it looks so curly-q. I’m hoping it’s just getting used to its new home and in time it’ll look better but ugh lol adding before and after photos for reference
@WiseCapricorn I think given some time then you’ll see improvement! Just be patient! On a positive note it looks like you potted down a size and I think this will be really helpful in the long term! That initial pot was way too Ig. Good job!!!
@HisLobster thank you for the vote of confidence! Always nice to get a concurring response 💜
😮‍💨😁 thank you so much! Definitely made me feel better
@Amateurbotany You’re welcome!☺️ I also agree with you about giving it a minute to acclimate and whatnot. In the meantime, what do you think about @WiseCapricorn giving it a support stick or two to alleviate the stress there and get it in more of an upward growing position? Or do you think it’ll weaken the branches in the long run?
@HisLobster I was honestly thinking THE SAME THING!! I think temporary support would be beneficial until the plant acclimates to the new pot. I would probably not leave it staked for more than a week or two
✅ done! Actually did this two days ago but haven’t had the chance to respond back. Thank you all so much for the feedback!
