The new leaves

Finally! I put it in the soil, and now I don’t know, should I cut upper leaves for forcing growth of new leaves or just wait for new leaves and do nothing?πŸ˜…
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
I've had an aucuba for years where it's often grown as an outdoor bush, and it's a very strong grower. But I would wait on your plant and give it time to develop more leaves, then cut it back if you like.
I would wait for nature to take its place.
Welcome to Greg Roman.
I agree with @Tropicalgia.. I'd leaf it be πŸ˜‰

I agree with all the other comments. No touchy! You may also want to consider adding root stimulator to your waterings over the spring and summer months to help really develop that new root system. Always follow the directions of any new products you choose to use on your plant babies. It looks like it’s going to be a lovely addition to your home. Good luck with it!
Thank you everyone πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š
