What kind of plant do i have here?
I found it a while back on the street. Its cute! But i have no idea what it is and what it needs. @toomanyplantss yeah i was wondering that too. But it doesnt have the pattern on the leaves like the snake plant i have? Maybe it's a cousin of the same species 🙆
Yes there are so many types sansevieria!!! I have one that looks just like yours and it was supposedly a sansevieria starlight....but I dont think that is correct since those have variegation. Closest I could find with solid green was a black dragon (their leaves start out lighter green like yours) or a Hahnii Jade.
I didn't either in the beginning @WildlingWitch 😆 But they have a special place in my heart!!! My first plant was a snake plant....a gift from my friend Charlie who split the baby of his off for me. Todd Jr is about 3" tall now and is always growing new leaves and is working on his newest baby ❤ But one day I realized he wasn't like the other snake plants I usually saw (he is a Zeylanica) so started looking into other varieties and was surprised that there are like 70 🤷🏼 This is Todd Jr and some of the others I've added to the oasis since.
And this is poor Richard...the one that looks like yours. Got him from FB Marketplace but the lady didn't reply for 2 weeks. Went to pick him up and he was a hot mess. She had gone out of town and whoever was house sitting had drown him. He was literally swimming. So I dug him up and let him dry out and cut all of the rotted roots off, repotted and had to chop ends off of basically all his leaves. But he is a survivor 😆 And starting to make a comeback

Yeah hahaha @WildlingWitch I meant Todd Jr was 3 foot tall now. 100% agree plants from friends is the best!!! Can't wait to hear the name you pick out for Rehab Richards twin 😆 You are in Amsterdam!?!?! One of my fave places!!! I lived in France for 3 years and Bruge and Amsterdam were my favorite road trips!!! I would totally send you Todd Jr's newest baby....but no idea if that's ok to send across the pond 🤷🏼
P.S. I blame @Sassylimey for my purchase of the Sanseveria Moonshine 😆 Had never seen one until a post of hers....then had to have one
