@Aprilash2012 Welcome to the Greg community! I would say that your plant will do well where you have it because, Erect Sword Ferns prefer partial to full shade and can tolerate deep shade. They thrive with 4-6 hours of bright, indirect light or even just 2-4 hours in full shade. While they can handle some direct sunlight, prolonged exposure, especially during the hottest part of the day, can scorch their fronds. Hope this helps, Happy Growing!!
@Ms.Persnickety thank you! My room is west facing so it does get a bit warm. Iโ€™ve had plants for a year now but this is my first fern!
@Aprilash2012 I would not be too concerned about the temperature rather will it get enough humidity? Erect sword ferns (Nephrolepis cordifolia) prefer high humidity. They thrive in moist, well-drained soil and benefit from increased humidity, which can be achieved through misting, using a humidifier, or placing the plant on a pebble tray with water. Low humidity can lead to browning and drying of the fronds.
