Should I trim the brown part of the leaf?

I don't think I can cut the whole leaf, but I don't want the plant using more energy to try and recover that leaf than it uses to grow new leaves.

The leaf won’t regrow a part that is chopped off. If you want to chop off just the brown part, that is fine, your plant will be okay. Happy growing!
@GrowMyPretties Yep; I wasn't thinking it would regrow haha I just don't want the plant sending extra energy to that leaf because the brown part isn't doing well.
I don’t think the plant sends extra energy to a plant leaf that is damaged. I’ve never heard of that. Also it wouldn’t make sense because the plant would focus on newer leaves so the damaged would could be β€œreplaced”.
@BeneficialWeed you can for asthetic reason but..once they yellow/brown/go crispy, no going back. I love your Thai…I ended up with 2 this year lol.
@BeneficialWeed trim…I should have said trim depending on the amount of discoloration. Like when I overwater a philo and a leaf tip shows me the signs..I’ll get around to trimming that little tip off of what not.
@GrowMyPretties Interesting. A coworker of mine who is really great with plants had mentioned that. Maybe she just has different experiences. I just want to be super cautious :) Thanks for your perspective!!
@SvelteDevilsivy Thank you! I did end up trimming and it's definitely an interesting look with half the leaf gone lol but it looks healthier overall
@BeneficialWeed the great part is, now it’s got more personality and it’s weird, like..hey thanks..let me give you a new leaf in appreciation.
