How do you know itβs alive and growing?
3ft to light, direct
8β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 day ago
The top graft grows slowly, pay close attention for new folds along the edges. These will eventually expand outwards and create fan shapes.
Both the top and bottom should feel firm, and not soft. If itβs getting enough light and a very light fertilizer during spring and summer, you should notice some growth.

Hi Deborah, sometimes itβs hard to tell a cactus and succulents are still alive as best since many of them stay green after they are dead. I have a succulent very much like this. Gently I canβt exercise that enough gently tug on it. If you feel the slightest resistance, I would assume that itβs alive. Remember most succulents grow slowly. οΏΌ
