Pumpkin plants
My grandma recently gifted us two pumpkin plants. Any advice for permanent planting? Am I able to plant them in pots?
Hi! Pumpkins can grow either in the ground or in pots, so you can choose based on your space; they do best in a sunny spot with rich, well‑draining soil and plenty of room for the vines to sprawl, but if you prefer containers, just use a large pot (10 gallons for small varieties, 15–25 gallons for full‑size), good potting mix, and make sure it drains well since potted pumpkins need more frequent watering and feeding. If you give them sun, space, and steady moisture, they’ll be happy.
