Brown spots on my airplane plant

Hi everyone, my Cessna is starting to develop brown patches or spots on its blades. This is the first time I’m experiencing it, so I am clueless about how to proceed. The hole showed up first then the one big brown spot a few days later. I tried googling but I only can find answers for multiple, tiny spots but not for one or two big spots like these. Any advice would appreciated! Thank you

I remember after coming back from a trip and seeing the hole for the first time, there was a stray baby’s breath flower (that fell from the vase above this plant) being engulfed by this blade. I did pull the flower out, but I’m just adding this detail in case it’s helpful. Thank you in advance!
5ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
Another FYI, the last time I watered this plant is last weekend before I left for a trip.
These guys like to dry between watering. If not, roots can rot. You might consider checking the roots for decay
Could be the beginning stages of some sort of fungal infection. That or root rot. I would investigate the roots
