Watering Cactus
I just repotted my cactus, and I have no clue when to water it now. I last watered it on the 25th and I donβt know if the repotting will change anything. Can anyone tell me?? Should I wait longer or proceed as normal?
Btw heβs kept outside usually (except for at night). When heβs inside I just put him in the window till morning! ALSO is he a drooping prickly pear? This app told me he is but Iβm not sureβ¦

Repotting is stressful for plants. It depends on when I last watered them. There's mixed info as to how soon to water (wait or right after repotting - guess it's different for each type?) so I tend to just check in my my plants daily to see how they're settling in.
I have noticed when I update the pot size in Greg it adjusts the amount of water but I'm not sure if the frequency also changes but I would think so? Hopefully others who have a better sense of this will chime in as well.

@Shiddens I don't think the frequency of watering will change just the amount if you've changed pot sizes. But I don't measure the amount of water I give each plant, I water until it's coming out of the drainage holes for all my plants.
And like @ballondusoleil said, there's a difference of opinion on how soon to water after repotting a succulent or cactus. I always water immediately after because I wait to repot until the soil is completely dry. Repotting can be stressful for them, but after a stressful day, I know I'm ready for an ice cold drink π€ͺ makes sense plants would be too.
As for ID, hard to tell from the picture, but possibly

@Lifeis2short Okay, thanks! Iβll just continue as usual and monitor him
@VerdantFlora Thank you! That definitely looks like mine. The place I got mine from didnβt say so I was curious!
