@FoxyCardoon Hi Denise, this is likely to be due to the plant rotting which is most likely caused by overwatering. A good idea is to check the top inches of the soil to see how moist it is and whether this is contributing to the issue.
@PoisedAlbo yes it was close to the pole. The rest of the plant is healthy and thriving. Many roots inside the moss pole.
@Seymour thanks for your suggestion. The top soil is dry ands I can see healthy roots inside the moss pole.
