Leaves are turning brown and falling off

Hi. I’m new here and new to plants. I’ve had this plant for one month and it’s starting to brown and the leaves are falling off. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. How I can I stop this from happening? #NewPlantMom
4ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage

Is it just a couple of leaves or a lot? Plants naturally drop older leaves to make room for new ones. If it's a lot that could mean it's not getting enough natural sunlight.
If it's the stems that are browning, and it's just above soil, and the stems and leaves are translucent, then it's overwatering. Get it easy with watering, or you'll risk the root rot and your plant will die.
@Seedstarter thank you! I will relocate my plant.
@SvelteKingfern yes, I suspected I may have been overwatering. Thank you for your help.
