What’s this called?
Is this just an aerial root or is it called something else? Additionally, should I just leave it or prune it off when I transfer to moss pole? #Epipremnum #MossPole #EpipremnumPinnatumAlbo #climbingPlants
@SpikeKing19 would it turn into a water root if I poked it into the moss pole? Or is it dead?
@UphorbiaUphoria you can just trim off the brown shriveled part and attach that to a moss pole. If you're looking for a moss pole I suggest orchid box but get the 1.92 or bigger so you don't have to water as often in the beginning.
@SpikeKing19 I’m actually building my own out of vinyl coated hardware cloth. I’ve also got all the ingredients for a super chunky custom aroid mix soil. Just doing research still on ratios for proper pH.
@UphorbiaUphoria maybe charcoal but I'm not sure. Just moved away from miracle grow and started using rosy soil but I've heard good things about BHW plant cos' dirt bag. I would still mix in some bark and perlite/pumice.
@DaynePlants @SpikeKing19 @Crissnell42 Update!
Got her on the moss pole last night and just tucked this aerial root around it but it wasn’t fully touching. OVERNIGHT it has completely hugged the pole and tucked her tip in to the moist moss. Just absolutely amazing. 🥰

Just awesome. It’s also not so brown and woody but has softened and greened a bit overnight as well. #Epipremnum #EpipremnumPinnatumAlbo
@UphorbiaUphoria Great I have a monstera and I put the aerial roots in water and it’s doing so good
@Crissnell42 fantastic! It’s just so cool to see for the first time. 🥰
