Will it prop?

I bought this brand new Thai Constellation Monstera and the neighborhood kids broke the tallest stem!! I put it in water, I can’t tell if it has a node. Thoughts? I’m making this plant part of an outdoor front patio nursery/garden. #Monstera #ThaiConstellation

I don’t see a node there πŸ˜• Is your patio covered? This beauty won’t want direct sun β˜€οΈ
I have the best patio! It’s about 6x10ft, faces north and it’s well covered. It’s gets bright light with only a few spots that get sun rays a few hours in the morning.
@Melty208 Lovely!!! β˜€οΈ
@Melty208 Though neighborhood πŸ˜… But it looks as if you leaf has no node, therefore no, a Thai Constellation Monstera leaf without a node cannot be successfully propagated into a new plant. While the petiole (leaf stem) might grow roots in water, it lacks the necessary axillary bud (found on the stem node) to produce new leaves. It will likely remain a "zombie leaf" that survives for a time but never grows.
Thanks for the responses! I think I’m going to take the leaf and press/frame it. It’s beautiful 🀩
I’d put her away from the kids for sure she tooooo precious πŸ˜‰πŸ™ŒπŸΎ
