Do I prune?

I'm not sure if I need to prune my calathea plant?
Some of the leaves are looking a bit sad now, so if I need to prune, how do I do it properly?
Any advice would be great πŸ˜ƒ

It won’t hurt to prune! It gives room for new growth and if they’re looking sad you definitely should!

My rule of thumb is… watch where the new leaves come out of. Maybe someone more familiar with Calatheas can guide you. But for example Monsteras grow from sheathes so if you cut the whole thing off I think it’ll stunt growth. Not sure though. Someone more informed might be able to help!
