Calling All Propagation Experts

Is this enough rootage to pot up this bad boy? He seems to be stuck at this level with two fangs πŸ§›πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. I was hoping for much more. I have zero propagatience. #PropagationStation #Propagation #Propagatience #NoPatience #Melanochrysis #melanochrysum
6ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
Background: I purchased as a starter plant early October. A month later, I found mites in his soil, so I chopped & dusted with rooting hormone & placed in perlite.

Today I sprayed foliage & roots with Miracle Grow Orchid mist. Maybe that will help? I feel like he needs nutrients.
I personally don’t plant until I have at least 3 inches of roots! Then water right away and let dry to introduce the roots to dirt
OMG Propagatience?!? That is brilliant. First time I’ve seen that…it’s perfect 🀣 I’m also severely lacking, but working on it

Yeah , propagatience is genius πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but I agree with @Boymom-plantmom I don’t plant my props until there’s at least 3 inches of roots. Some people say 1-2 inches, but if you wait a little longer, it gives them a better chance of being a strong plant and adapting better to soil!
@Bplants yes!!! ❀️
You could put it in Leca and see if it takes off that way.. little less chance of the roots rotting..
@NimbleJuniper I haven’t ventured into the world of Leca or Pon. Yet lol.
