Did you just get this? If so, it could be experiencing shock due to adjusting to its new environment. If not, I think the first step is to move it to a pot with drainage. While you’re doing that you can check the roots to see if there is any sign of root rot.

My nerve plant was very grumpy at first too! Definitely drainage issues and possibly even too much light! Mine seems to love to be left alone as much as as possible. I have it on a shelf under grow lights on a 3 hour timer
