It's too many leaves for no roots. The plant may shed some to equalise the balance. Let the plant do it. Do not cut off any leaves yourself; the plant knows the best.
Just do not worry, this is normal.

Have compact is the soil? Maybe it needs to be a bit more loose if that makes sense?

I saved one from Walmart just like this and when I went to repot it was just cuttings stuck down into dirt not one root I had to move them all to moss in my prop bin and now they are finally doing something it has taken forever
