That is a heart leaf fern. I can tell by its long wire like stems. I love them and have 4 myself. πŸ’•

But….. they die if left out in the open like other plants. There is absolutely nooo way around it with these. So you must put it is a closed terrarium. It MUST have a lid. As beautiful as these are they absolutely require VERY high humidity which is impossible outside of terrarium. That was a lesson I learned the hard way. I killed my first one. But loved it so much I had to try again. So I bought one more to try again in a terrarium. And it grows so well it sprouts little babies which is why I now have 4. So it will come back but only if you put it in a terrarium.

You can also make one by putting a ziplock bag over the plant to lock in humidity. Or you can even put a mason jar or transparent cup right over the pot to keep humidity trapped for the leaves. If you do any of these things than it will come back. But unfortunately it will keep crisping and drying up if kept just like it is. Sorry 😒

I would cover it immediately with whatever you can find. Trim off the top brown leaves. But leave the best looking leaves so your plant can put its energy into new healthy growth. πŸ’•
Don’t think those leaves will recover but it should sprout some new ones if you’ve brought the soil back into hydration and prune those dead leaves
@SuperbRaspfern thank you so much for your very detailed response, I appreciate it. I'm going to find something to put over my fern to increase the humidity as soon as possible. Thank you! πŸ’š
Great! πŸ’• I actually don’t do anything fancy for mine I buy glass cookie jars from wal mart by anchor hocking. They are really cheap here is a photo of one of mine. You could even just pop the whole pot in one! πŸͺ΄
