I got this plant off a buy nothing group only to find it'...

I mean- If you see damage on the plant caused by that thing, you can remove it manually if you don't want to mess with chemicals. You can also try putting a little bit of soap in water and spray it, but I don't think it works that well, plus it's gross. If there is only one insect though it's kinda ok... but it would be better to remove it idk
It's scale! Usually you can pick them off easily enough if the population's small, but watch for the tiny babies too. Spraying neem might work
