How long will it take for her to have the bottom of her s...

I took her out of her pot, as earlier this morning I cut the bottom of her stem, thinking that she wasn’t happy about how impatient I got when I repotted her, in hopes that if I let her just sit out before immediately putting her in a pot, three questions, [1] is it okay that I did that? [2] based on her size, how long should I keep her out to air dry for her stem to close/ heal at the bottom (is that what it’s called?), [3] is she looking ok? Or is she dead? #help
1. Is this from a mother plant? If so yeah that's fine.
2. I think it's typical " overnight " but honestly I rarely wait.
3. She looks alive,

My suggestion would be (this is what I do) remove some of the bottom leaves leaving at least 3. Dip the stem in cinnamon if it's a larger plant I may wait a couple hours for any sap to dry then put it in soil and water good. I prefer to start with a small pot (2"), keep the soil moist, and let it develop a good root ball before putting it in anything larger .
@ITalk2Plants I actually honestly don’t know what succulent she is from, she was a little bit that fell off of another succulent into the pot of my main succulent, but do you still suggest doing what you said to do?
@LikelyChaya33 absolutely, it's still alive. Get it in a pot and put it in a sunny window :-) you got yourself a free plant!
@ITalk2Plants would I let her stay out of the pot overnight before doing the cinnamon thing? Or do it now while she is out of the pot? If that makes sense
@LikelyChaya33 I would go ahead and do it now. This is something small.
@ITalk2Plants okay thank you
@ITalk2Plants would ground cinnamon work?
@LikelyChaya33 yes that's what I use. I have a jar just for plants lol. I dip the entire end that's going underground in cinnamon. Cover every "wound" from removing leaves.
@ITalk2Plants and I just let her stay out of the pot till morning now that I’ve done that?
@LikelyChaya33 it should be ok to go ahead and put in a pot of soil. It's something small so it won't take as long to "callous" over. I honestly rarely let something sit. I just chop, dip in cinnamon (&/or rooting hormone) put in a pot with some good soil.
@ITalk2Plants Ah ok thank you!
@LikelyChaya33 the most important part of the process is allowing it to callus over first. Cinnamon hasn't been scientifically proven to do much of anything, and if you dip a fresh cutting in cinnamon powder it just clumps up and forms a paste. If you decide to use it, wait till the cut part has callused over first. Then you can give the cut end a *light dusting* of cinnamon if you want, then place on dry cactus soil mixed with equal parts perlite, and don't water it until it's formed roots.
Plant her in dry soil, and keep it dry for 2-3 days. This will allow the cut to heal while It grows roots. Then after 3 days, moisten it about 1x a week, no more to prevent rot. Usually I don't water my succulents for 4 weeks until they grow roots. If they dont have roots, they can't drink water. Therefore, no point in watering. But bottom watering or just pouring a small amount of water will allow the baby plant, which needs frequent watering, at this stage, Usually 2x a week. I wouldn't water it until 3-5 days goes by and then just gently spray the soil with water to moisten it a few times a month until theres resistance when gently tugged on. When theres resistance, it has roots and you can begin a normal watering schedule.
