Sounds like thrip damage 😥 separate this plant from any others ASAP. I hear a product called imidaclorprid gets rid of them very well, although I have only battled fungus gnats and spider mites myself. Consider rinsing your plant off in the shower and possibly replacing the soil as well I hear that can help.
