orchid plant food mist

does anyone know if orchid plant food mist can be beneficial for other plants (philodendrons or pothos)? #NewGrowth #PhilodendronBrasil #Philodendron #PothosPack
I’m not a keeper of philodendrons or pothos so I’m not sure, but I know some people like to use the orchid food mist on Hoyas!
@Alinaa oh cool! thank you!!
Orchid plant food is okay to be used on other plants. They’re mostly all different combinations of N-P-K and all of these are essential nutrients for all plants. Some need more of one for flowering, while the other helps roots and green foliage.

Depending on which plant needs what, the npk ratios are decided. But they are still all essential to every plant.

I have in the past used orchid food in my Alocasia’s and other aroids and it seemed to work fine.
Just another thing, while the foliage spray may work on other plants, it’s not as effective as soil fertilizing. Like for the Hoyas, people spray it in hopes to encourage blooming and use it with their normal fertilizing regimens.
@Plantoholic thank you so much! that makes sense.
@Alinaa i have a liquid indoor plant fertiliser for the soil as well as the soil itself has a slow release fertiliser already in it. i’m not sure if i need both though. i’m assuming id only need to use the liquid kind whenever the soil’s supply is gone.
@venomsgirl for reference, my soil is indoor plant soil and supposed to feed them for 6 months.
I will usually do extra diluted liquid fertilizing even with the slow release, but that sounds great. I’m sure it would be fine to experiment with the orchid spray on a few leaves if you already have it. πŸ™‚
@Alinaa thank you☺️
