Sounds more like a water issue. In this case, I'd suggest you "bottom feed it" by placing the plant in a pool of water and let the soil soak it up from the bottom. Hoping you have drain holes in the pot. This should give it some respite. Observe and let's hear from you.
Also, you might put anything to serve as a trellis to keep the vine off ground and skyward. It works for climbers.
