No new growth

Hiii, I have a plant that hasn't new growth even though I fertilized. Should I be more patient, or do you think he has a problem?
(The leaves have been wounds since I bought it) #Philodendron #philodendronwhiteknight
2ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
How long have you had the plant for?

I would say it doesn't look well. It could be overfertilization, poor drainage, overwatering, or fungal disease.

If it seems like the browning isn't worsening, then it's likely not fungal and in that case, I would just give it time to acclimate.
I don't think that's a blushing philodren. It's got white on the leaves.
@PoignantEllisia I have it less than two weeks, about 12 days.
I fertilized it just once
@planthoe40 That's how Greg recognized it. I just found out this is a philodendron white knight.
Thank you😊
Yeah, it's likely just acclimatizing. Just be patient.

I would personally not fertilize a plant as soon as you get it either unless you know the last time it received fertilizer because you risk flooding the plant with nutrients (I.e. fertilizer burn). Don't worry about it now though. Make sure when you do fertilize a plant for the first time to start off really diluting the dose and slowly increasing it because it needs to get used to being fertilized.

Philodendron tend to be quite hardy plants so it should bound back and start growing as long as it gets adequate light.
@PoignantEllisia, thank you so muchπŸͺ»
Typically, when I get a new philodendron, I don’t see new growth until it acclimates about a month or two. I’ll just treat it like any other of my plants and sprinkle a small amount of fertilizer on the soil and let the soil dry out completely for abt 7-9 days οΏΌ
@Xylem, thanks for letting me know your Experiences🌷
@Xylem yep this is my experience as well
@ChummyGlueseed I've had mine a year and it has done nothing. It's not dead but it's also not growing
