Yellowing needles and dieback

I just moved down the FL on the pan handle and this tree wasn't in great shape before but the drive down didn't help either. My soil substrate is 4 parts course perlite, 1 part coco coir with 1 part peat moss both of my redwoods are sitting under full shade due to the heat here right now and im watering when the topsoil becomes somewhat dry, what else can I do to help this tree to recover? It is currently ontop of a large stone tied in jute fiber and some wire to keep it from moving because I am training this tree for Bonsai. As you can see the tree has suffered a lot of dieback and yellowing. I wired this one earlier in the season and I just repotted these guys in April, I took the wire off two weeks ago because I noticed some nasty wirebite. I have 30% shade cloth I can employ as well if we think some sunlight under that would suit these guys better. My other one is doing great though but please let me know what I should be doing to help this guy recover! #Redwood
