@eligmz Peperomias can indeed be propagated in water, but they might require a bit of extra attention to ensure successful rooting. If you're experiencing issues with browning stems and lack of root development, here's what you can do…. Fresh Start: If the stems are turning brown, it might indicate that they're rotting. Trim the healthy sections of the stems and ensure that you're using clean, sharp scissors or shears to make the cuts…. Leaf Placement: Ensure that the submerged part of the stem has a few nodes (those little bumps where leaves and roots grow) submerged in water. Leaves left submerged can lead to rot….. Water Quality: Use clean, filtered water to prevent the buildup of any potential contaminants….. Change Water: Change the water regularly to ensure it stays clean and oxygenated. Stagnant water can discourage root growth….. Patience: Rooting can take time. Peperomias can be slow to root in water. Be patient and give them time to develop roots….. Rooting Hormone (Optional): If you're still struggling, you can try using rooting hormone on the cut ends of the stems before placing them in water. This might encourage root development……Transition to Soil: Once you see some healthy roots, you can consider transitioning the cuttings to well-draining soil. I decided to carefully check every cutting and a few of them have the tiniest bit of root growing. I’ll try sphangum moss though, because I’ve heard great things, I just have to do some research because my local big box stores are always out and I don’t know which brands are the best anyway. Thanks!
