I've never been that north, but I can tell you that I bring many of my outside plants into my garage to overwinter there. It then get too cold, they'll die. I find it better to keep them from freezing and let them go through their ugly-seasons and push out new growth once the threat of freezing has passed.

Your begonia is a soft plant- I don't know if it would survive temperatures under 38ยฐ for multiple days. 40ยฐ is usually the cut off for me- every thing in a pot comes in once the temperature is under 40ยฐ for more than one night in a row. (I get my workout!)
you can bring her in if you want, or leave her out if she's a perennial
