More fricking sun. Like, a lot more. Provided you increase the humidity of course, to like maybe 80+%.
Where i am these are fricking weeds. They thrive where they can get a couple hours of direct sunlight and spend the rest of the day in shade of the tree [which is still normally brighter than what you have it in right now].
Of course, there's also the possibility that you have a different Mimosa, instead of Mimosa pudica. Some grow more shrub-like, some into a tree. I'm not too familiar with the genus, i only know Mimosa pudica and Mimosa diplotricha var. inermis as weeds in my area [the latter being tall, spiny but has 6 sets of leaflets, instead of 4 like yours]
