What's up a with the cilantroπ₯²
Hi guys so my cilantro plants are not doing well. There is a spread of white dots on them. I'm not sure what to do and if the plant is salvageable. Please let me know your thoughts. I'm worried it could be a fungus. Or something. When I rub the leaves nothing comes off. Help a friend out pls π

Hi Jade
I love cilantro (what we call coriander, see my previous post about the two names if you are interested at #seymour)
To remove any issues of bugs or disease when i bought this "slow bolt" I flushed the soil with distilled water to remove any chemicals or minerals and then applied a Neem oil spray (We The Wild Protect Spray as it also contains worm castings and other goodies like lemon myrtle and eucalyptus to kill off any bugs or disease using naturally occurring ingredients)
I usually recommend dabbing affected parts with alcohol and the spraying with Neem oil or even hydrogen peroxide at 1 to 4 parts distilled water) to kill off any infection or bugs however the dabbing with alcohol can be a bit too challenging and also may add a alcohol taste).
Hope these ideas help as these are great plants and fungus can be an issue. The leaves look a little yellow so it could also be a soil issue so repotting with fresh soil is another option but additional light may overcome the yellow issue and some fertilizer (which #wethewild has with the use of worm castings but the soil may also be an option for fertilizing).
All the best, #seymour ππ
