Oh 💩 Greg says to fertilize

I’m scared to fertilize. I know we’re coming to the end of growing season and the window may be closing. But I’m brand-spanking new to this lifestyle. Most of my plants are in new potting soil, in fact, I just bought this Chinese Money Plant 2 days ago. If this were my vegetable garden I be using humus, manure, worms, bunny pellets. I’d let nature take its course. I know nothing about this clear liquid. And anyway…how many pumps is 81mg for Pete’s sake? 🤷🏼‍♀️
Don't use a slow release fertilizer. Grab a bottle of liquid fertilizer that mixes into water. That way you can start with a small amount. And build up from there.

My personal choice is Super Thrive Foilage Pro. Start with a 1/4 dose then build up from there.

With that amount it will ease your way into it and help you realize you're not hurting it. NO fertilizer in with and in fall only use 1/2 strength at most.
Also don't use mg. Use the amount or 1/2 of that listed on the bottle of what you use.
Don't pay attention to Greg's fertilizer schedule. It's based on hyper-generalized info and the measurements don't make any sense. Use your best judgement and think of Greg's recommendations as reminders more than anything else (same goes for watering). If you just repotted in fresh soil, most store-bought soils already have fertilizer in them. I use a diluted organic fertilizer year round at every watering called We The Wild. No harsh chemicals or synthetics, so no risk of causing fertilizer burn.

Seconding Super Thrive! Shannon that's the same as Dyna-Gro, right? You recommended it to me a while back and I've been using it every since 🤗
@stephongreg Yes it is, I keep forgetting it has 2 names! So, glad it's working for you. I hate to see people waste their money on really expensive fertilizer when it works so well and is much less expensive.
