What should I do with these roots? #help
4โ pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
@DynamoChayote47 Kalancho are considered succulents. Plant it in a small pot in some chunky succulent soil. By chunky I mean succulent soil mixed with some perlite and orchid bark to allow water to flow through easily. You don't want a dense soil holding on to water.
@princesspitstop these are better pics, and my question was about if I should cut off some roots and how much should I cut?
@DynamoChayote47 if you happen to have any rooting hormone that you can put on it before you plant it do that but if not, plant it and water it in well. Let the soil dry out before watering it again. It might go into some shock at first but just be patient with it, it will bounce back.
@princesspitstop are you sure? Cuz it kinda does smell bad and the bottom of the plant is kinda brown too
@DynamoChayote47 Oh well if it smells bad it likely has root rot. Rinse off the roots so you can get a good look at them. If they are mushy and fall off easily as you rinse them see what's left. Spray with hydrogen peroxide, remove the bottom leaves and plant it. Make sure the node where you removed the leaves is beneath the soil. There's not much else you can do to try to save it. There is a chance that it won't work but just as much chance that it will. It's worth a try. Good luck ๐ค Keep us updated.
@DynamoChayote47 seems this is a duplicate post ๐ฌ
